Got up this morning totally psyched to get my tattoos done! It took me about an hour to decide on the font, and then i went with the lamest font ever...Lucinda Calligraphy...but it was the only one that i liked that i thought would be readable in the smaller size i needed.
i chose my artist and because he had a ton of appointments scheduled i had to wait a long time.. yay for having my Kindle with me! i'm glad i waited, i'm very happy with the work he did.
So, the significance...ABMN are the initials of my sons (yes, i have 4 boys!) and obviously the other is my last name which i had done to represent Sir who gave me that name on our wedding day 26 years ago.
i'm not going to say that it didn't hurt, i could definitely feel it, but it was absolutely bearable and i was able to settle into my "space". i'm already looking at ways to enhance them, but i want to think that over for a while.
PS: i'm seriously concerned....my wrists don't hurt at all! i had a friend (loosely defined) who had two much smaller tatts done on her wrists recently and she was in a lot of pain....i hope everything is ok, because i seriously am feeling no pain!

I''m starting your blog from the beginning, so I know this post is way old, but I love your tats! I have two bracelet style circling my left wrist, one for child 1 and one for my husband. Working on saving up to get one for child 2, lol. I really like the font you picked. I think it's much prettier than the sloppy script I ended up with, lol.
ReplyDeleteWow, exciting to hear someone is reading my old stuff! i'll warn you i get pretty angsty there for a while!
