Saturday - The submissive Odyssey

Wow, just wow!

Started with an early breakfast...6:45, ok, that's killer for me!  Followed by a mimosa social at the playspace.  After we went upstairs for our first class

8:30-9:25am  Registration, Continental Breakfast

9:30-11am    Seminar 1A 9:30-10:15(Veni Vici, Topping Your Best-friend)  Great class by one of my favorite Dommes, She focused on negotiation and when to go beyond negotiation, interesting since i watched her with her favorite toy, the cattle prod, at Sir Michael's on Saturday!

Seminar 1B 10:15-11:00am (Kate, YinYang-The Balance of submission)
All about balancing our lives, especially the fantasy vs reality of submission.

11:15-12:45 Seminar 2A 11:15-12 (Coy, Consent-We Can Say No)  i adore coy, but the statistics she quoted were down right scary, 1 out of every 6 American women has been the victim of an attempted or completed rape in her lifetime, someone is sexually assaulted in the US ever two minutes!  Is that not scary????  Have any of you been the victim of sexual touching without consent? A swat on the butt or a hand to the boob by someone who did not have permission to do so?  We really need to feel empowered to say "You do not have my permission to touch me or attempt to top/dominate me?"  Of course for most of us that is very difficult, we are submissive by nature but we do have the right to say NO!  Interesting that coy asked if she could use a story about me to demonstrate how we constantly expect too much from ourselves...she told of a party a couple of months ago where i was scening with Sir Michael and had to safe word early,  she said when i hit the hot tub she could see how upset i was for ending early...she said she was amazed because she didn't know many subs who could take the whip the way i had and she was just floored that i saw it as a weakness...i got a lot of looks, most of these people have never seen me play, we don't play in public...i think they always thought i was some kind of lightweight...guess that changed!

Seminar 2B 12-12:45 (Bebe, Service and Our Community) Bebe talked about how service to your community can be a great way to meet people as well as fulfilling our innate need to serve.

12:45-1:30   Lunch (Yummy nachos and fresh veggies)

1:30-3p      Make and Take/Seminar 3 (dream catchers/Jen, Taking Massage With You)
The massage class, yep i sucked at it but sharon (my partner) has magic fingers!  i was able to make a passable dream catcher, as my special add on i used the original heart from my collar, i held onto the charm so much i wore the finish off, i have a new one but thought that would be a good use for the old one, now it can hang from my headboard.

3:15-4:45    Seminar 4 (Kate, Reflections, facilitated group discussion) The question was "What is your strength and how does it effect your submission)  Yes, there were tears, there always are!  i had to fess up to something that i have avoided talking about with my group, the fact that i most likely have Early Onset Alzheimers...yeah, that's a show stopper...but it was time to be real with the group, these are the women in our community that i spend the most time with.

4:45-5:30p   Evening Tea, Retreat Closing

Drove my sister sub and my sub friend home, picked up the ingredients for the potato salad i'm making in the morning and headed home.  It is amazing how draining the day ended up being!

i'd love play but Sir just came up, looked at me and told me it was bed time...yes, he does know best.

Sleep tight friends!
