The Week in Review

It was a pretty packed week.  i spent the beginning of the week sick as a dog due to lack of meds, i finally gave in and bought three days worth to get me over until they came in the mail.  Who knew that stopping that one drug put you into this very intense withdrawal, nausea, vomiting, body aches, almost flu like, but it all went away with that first dose.

Wednesday #4 told me he hadn't seen his cat for two days.  We searched the house high and low and couldn't find her.  We figured she got out the sliding door in the kitchen so we searched the neighborhood, put up flyers, went door to door, listed her on Craig's List and the Humane Society sites....nothing.  He was devastated.  He has two cats who couldn't be more different.  Meryl (the lost one) hides if she is scared or hurt, Millie, her sister, is very outgoing, if she had gotten out she would have meowed at the door until someone found her.  Neither cat is microchipped, i didn't see the need since they are declawed house cats, they don't even wear collars.  It was a horrible couple of days.  Needless to say they both have new collars with tags!

Thursday night we had our Pre-Spanks chat, we exchanged lots of information, i'm getting so excited!  It was fun watching the important folks in my life meet up!  Of course i was distracted by our missing cat...but, they kinda ran with the chat for me!

Saturday night was FLOG, Halloween style, it's the biggest FLOG of the year, always sells out at 250 people.  Just as we were leaving (yes, i dressed as a witch) #4 said he couldn't find the other cat, more searching the house and yards....and he found the first cat!  She ran away and the chase was on.  Finally he caught her!  We located the other cat in the house and we were able to leave for the party.  The party was great, i love looking at all the costumes, i'm so not a creative person.  Came home and hit the dungeon, a very intense rhythmic impact scene, felt almost like a deep tissue massage.  i slept like a log!

Sunday was #1's yearly chili cookoff, i had chosen a recipe from the internet, it was terrible, i mean, really, really terrible.  Fortunately i had made it on Saturday because i slept so late on Sunday i wouldn't have had time.  Although, since it was so bad it might have been better, lol.  His party was a blast, 10 different types of chili to sample along with all the sides.

Really worried about my girl, she lives in the Northeast, they've prepped as much as possible but you can never be too prepared.  i've asked her to check in as frequently as possible but with a houseful of people i know she'll be busy.
