Holiday Concerts

Tonight is #4's Christmas concert and the end of an era.  We have 4 sons and they were all singers, we've been attending Christmas concerts for 25 years, some years we had more than one to attend, tonight will be our last (at least until one of them makes us grandparents, lol)  Strange to think that next year we won't be planning clothing and transportation for the performance.  Oh well, onward and upward!

So, for Christmas we are giving each other the gift of....new gutters for the house, such a romantic gift!  We don't usually exchange gifts but instead make an improvement to the house and this year it's gutters!  Yay!

i'm trying to get my head in the game for Christmas but i must say it hasn't been easy this year.  Winter is always a difficult time for me but it seemed to be a little earlier this year, just a combo of a lot of things hitting at the same time added to the change in weather and sunshine.  Sir thinks it has to do with the breakup and is encouraging me to "move on" and find someone new, but i think it is more seasonal.   i'm determined to make the holiday a good one, and started doing a little bit of decorating this afternoon (hung the mistletoe, yay!)   i'm also working on a date for our annual sub sister's dinner, just waiting on a call back from ss.

Saturday is our big meeting and munch, it's usually pretty good.  Next weekend is our private group play party on Saturday and Christmas party on Sunday...i think we will only be attending Saturday night.  This Thursday is Taboo, i'll have to see if ss wants to go, Sir can't it starts too late on a work night for him but he encourages me to go, there are always plenty of Dom friends there to keep an eye on me :-)
