Graduation Day!!!

Sir came by to help me shower and bring me a few things i needed, for example, MY LAPTOP!  He also brought me a yummy salad.  After my shower (where Sir managed to slip in a few spankings when the room was empty :))  as he was starting to get my computer set up the ladies from IV Therapy showed up to put in my PICC line (no worries, no yucky pictures on that site :)) Since it is a surgical procedure he couldn't be in the room, i knew he had tons of things to do at home for graduation tonight so i told him it was ok if he left, he was hesitant but life goes on outside this room, and i want tonight's graduation ceremony to go well for #4 since i won't be there.  i'm just sick about missing it but there is no way i could have gone, even with all the accommodations  handicapped parking, a wheel chair, etc.  i'm just too sick.  i'm also starting to feel a bit manic, not sure if that's from the pneumonia, the meds (i'm now on 3 different antibiotics) plus about 10 other drugs for various things or from the breathing treatments i get every 4 hours...take all of that and add in the stress on my body and mind from missing graduation and it would actually be a miracle if i was stable!

So, basically in review:

Woke up on Monday morning around 4 am and couldn't breathe, fast run to the ER and two hours later i was admitted, i've been on the Cardiac Step Down unit ever since.  Five specialists later, a Pulmonologist (same one i saw 3 years ago), an Infectious Disease Specialist (think House, but this one is absolutely adorable, i also saw him 3 years ago), an Internist (same one as 3 years ago), a Cardiologist (new this time, no problem with my heart in the past), and today add in a Immunologist/Allergist (new to me, she ordered 10 tubes of blood worth of tests and said i wouldn't get the results of most of them until after i had left the hospital.

So, three chest x-rays, one CT of the chest and a ton of antibiotics (all IV) all, in all, this is going to cost a bundle.  i begged to go home for graduation but not one of those docs would sign off on it and in the end i had to agree.  So i'm leaving it in Sir's most capable hands and i am preparing to send out the rescheduled information for the graduation party that was supposed to be next weekend.  i know i'm not out of here until Monday at the earliest and i'll be going home on IV antibiotics so i'm going to be sidelined for a while.

Ok, off to rest, i've been upright for a bit too long and pictures are streaming in from the wait for Graduation!!!!  Have a great Saturday night all.
