Thanksgiving Reflections

Ok, time to get back to the business of blogging.  The past week has been wonderful yet stressful.  #4 arrived home last Friday night for the holiday week, i've missed him so much but there was a bit of strain, i had really pretty much started to embrace being empty nesters, spending my days without clothes, playing whenever we wanted, leaving my laptop unlocked on the kitchen counter....but, it was wonderful to have him home.  Strange doesn't even begin to explain my mindset.

The holiday was wonderful, #3 arrived home at noon on Thanksgiving and all the kids (and their wives) were here to celebrate with us.  #1.5 (#1's wife of 10 years) really stepped up and brought to dishes as well as arrived early to help me, this might sound like a no brainer but you need to understand that she was raised as a Jehovah's Witness and never celebrated holidays until she joined our family, couple that with the fact that she has a very demanding job (she's an attorney) and her help was extremely appreciated.  #2's wife works retail in management so she was up late the night before Thanksgiving setting the store for what is now Black Thanksgiving :(, she had to leave at 5:00 pm on the holiday to get ready for the opening at 6:00.  i wasn't about to ask her to bring anything or to even arrive early, she was stressed enough!

The holiday went well and we broke our cardinal rule and did some shopping on Friday and Saturday, a new sound bar for the family room flat screen and a new Dyson vacuum for me...we both had a happy pre Christmas!  Tomorrow they are coming to install our new sliding patio door for the breakfast room, i'll post pics because it is awesome (and crazy expensive!).

Saturday night we went to a kinky Black Friday party, it was a great group of people, unfortunatly it was a very small apartment so we ended up leaving a little early and having an early breakfast with some of our kinky friends.  i adore the couple that held the party, such open and honest people!

Ok, off to get Sir ready for work tomorrow, up early for the door installation....
