Sensual and Rhythmic Caning

Last night was an education night for our private group.  The topic was Sensual and Rhythmic Caning (as opposed to caning for punishment) presented by Jsin.  We had a pretty good turnout for the class which lasted just under an hour with a social and play party following.

i'm not going to get into the entire session, if you are interested in the handout just e-mail me at morgaine's e-mail and i'll send you the scanned notes.  But i'll put a few highlights below.

SELECTING A CANE

  • When selecting a cane - it should be able to bend significantly.
  • One should be able to bring the cane down in a straight line.
  • The cane should have three or more coats of varnish.
  • Small diameter = sharp pain.  Large diameter = thud.
  • To keep canes healthy, once a year one should sand the tip, stand the cane in a vase of water overnight, and the re-varnish the tip.
CANING HINTS
  • The bottom experiences two sensations with every stroke (nerves being compressed and then expanding).  Thus, the strokes shouldn't go too fast unless used for rhythmic caning in pairs.
  • Be sure the room isn't too cold, bottoms will become colder even when dressed, due to the movement of blood to the affected area.
  • It is difficult, if not impossible, to kill any Hepatitis pathogens on canes, if blood is the goal, canes should be considered a single person tool.
  • Extra Zinc helps bruises heal.
  • Avoid striking the tail bone and the back of the knee with force.
  • Front of thighs and feet can be caned.
  • The fold between the buttocks and thighs can be quite painful when struck too hard.
  • Hitting and holding delays the second stage of pain and pushes the short waves deeper into the flesh.
  • Relaxing the bottom allows for a type of "ramping" (the use of slow steadily increasing movement and pressure to warm up the bottom).
There is so much more in the handout (3 pages total) so, feel free to e-mail for a scanned copy!
